    Hepatobiliary and  Pancreatic Cancers

Liver, Gall Bladder and  Pancreatic Cancers

At Horizon Cancer Centre  we combine high-resolution imaging, molecular profiling, advanced hepatobiliary surgery, interventional oncology, and modern systemic therapies to deliver evidence-based, biology-driven care.

    Liver Cancer

These cancers often remain silent until advanced. Mild abdominal discomfort, jaundice, unexplained weight loss, or altered liver function tests are frequently ignored.

    Types
    Hepatocellular carcinoma
    Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma
    Secondary (metastatic) liver tumors
    Common Risk Factors
    Chronic Hepatitis B & C
    Cirrhosis
    NAFLD/NASH
    Alcohol-related liver disease

Advanced Management Strategy with focus on organ preservation

    Gall Bladder Cancer

    Persistent right upper abdominal pain
    Jaundice
    Unexplained weight loss
    Thickened gall bladder on imaging

    Treatment Approach at HCC

    Pancreatic Cancer

Pancreatic cancer requires early suspicion and aggressive multidisciplinary care. We have two different types of cell groups in the pancreatic gland. So two distinct forms of cancers occur.

    Exocrine Pancreatic Cancer (Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma)

This accounts for ~85–90% of cases.
All pancreatic cancer patients are offered germline mutation evaluation where appropriate.

    Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors (Endocrine Tumors)

Less common, biologically distinct, often slower growing.

    • Functional (insulinoma, gastrinoma)
      Non-functional tumors

Our Hepatobiliary–Pancreatic Cancer Model at HCC

    We integrate:

    High-quality imaging staging
    Molecular-guided therapy
    Organ-function preservation
    Nutrition & metabolic optimisation
    Long-term survivorship planning

    FAQ’s

    • Early liver cancer may not cause clear symptoms. Warning signs include:
      • Persistent right upper abdominal discomfort
      • Unexplained weight loss
      • Fatigue
      • Worsening liver function in known cirrhosis
      • New abdominal swelling
In patients with hepatitis B, C, or cirrhosis, routine surveillance with ultrasound and AFP testing is critical.

    When Should You Seek Evaluation?

    Persistent jaundice
    Unexplained weight loss
Chronic liver disease with new symptoms
Family history of pancreatic or liver cancer
